Jean Marie Mayberry
August 4th, 1951 - November 8th, 2025
Jean Marie (Raines) Mayberry graduated to glory on November 8, 2025. She was born on August 4, 1951 in Walla Walla, WA, the first of six children.
Though she was small in stature, Jean was mighty in spirit. You always knew what Jean was thinking!
She devoted her life to caring for others as a registered nurse, serving in healthcare for more than 50 years in the Lewis-Clark Valley. Her compassion and steady strength touched countless lives through her work in pediatrics, oncology – where she earned her oncology certification – and immunizations.
Jean married the love of her life, Pat Mayberry, and they shared many years together before his passing almost a decade ago. She never remarried, carrying his memory and their bond with her always.
She was also a proud Friend of Bill W., celebrating almost four years of sobriety. That journey became a source of deep strength, and friendships that meant the world to her.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Pat; parents; and her brothers, Bob and Tom.
She is survived by her daughters: Trish (Kevin) Newton and Susan (Greg) Davis; grandchildren: Taylor (Julia) Davis, Heather Newton, and Alyson (Avery) McIrvin; great-grandchildren: Anna, Phillip, and Lydia; siblings: Alice (Drew) Anderson, Dave (Suzy) Raines, and Bonnie (Craig) Schafer. She is also survived by multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly.
Jean’s legacy of kindness, strength, and quiet determination will continue to make a lasting impact through the lives she touched.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Friday, November 21st at 2:00 PM at Ten Mile Christian Church,3500 W. Franklin Rd. in Meridian.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
