Sandra Chaneene (Lindblad) Lee, age 69, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, at her home near Windsor, Colorado.  Sandy was born on April 9,1956, in Greeley, Colorado, to Leonard and Virginia Lindblad.

Although she lived a mile north of Severance, after school consolidation, Sandy rode the bus to Park and then to the junior and senior high schools in Windsor, Colorado, graduating in 1974.  She pursued many interests during her school years, including 4-H, Junior Leadership, Rainbow Girls, Pep Club, marching and concert band, and drama.  Besides that, she participated as a pom pom girl and sang as a member of Chordsmen and Chordettes.  Deciding upon CSU, she graduated from there with a degree in broadcast journalism in 1978.  She held a number of journalistic positions involving agriculture, including writer, ad salesperson, and editor, from areas in Minnesota, Colorado, Florida, and New Jersey.  When she became a bit weary from traveling so much, she decided to substitute teach.  She taught mostly at the Windsor and Severance middle and high-school levels, really enjoying her students and the subjects she taught.  And her students were very fond of her.

Sandy met John Lee in July,1982 at a softball game; and they were married on May 21, 1983, at the First United Methodist Church in Windsor. They lived on Sandy’s grandparents’ farm in a two-story farmhouse, which they later remodeled extensively.  Sandy loved life on the farm with John and her two boys--Matthew, born on May 11, 1993; and Lucas, born on January 24, 1995.  They recently had begun having a rec-barn constructed on their farm property.

She and John spent numerous weekends, nights and afternoons watching and rooting for Matthew and Lucas, both of whom she was so proud, as they participated in soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball; and later, as Matthew became the assistant soccer coach at Windsor High School.

Among Sandy’s many favorites were jigsaw puzzles, board games/trivia, oldies TV, Jimmy Buffet concerts, and bridge.  She loved spending time with family; listening and dancing to music of the 60’s-80’s, and country music; watching Denver’s biggest sports teams; and heading to Las Vegas.

Sandy is survived by her husband, John; her sons Matthew and Lucas; and her sister, Connie Hill.  In addition, she is survived by brother-in-law George Lee and sisters-in-law Barb Lee and Mary Lee, nephews Casey Hill and Kristopher Lee; nieces Jennifer Cram and Brooke Chesebro, and multiple cousins.

On Thursday, November 20, viewing time will be held at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634 at 3:00 for family members, and at 4:00 for the public.

Celebration of Sandy’s life is scheduled for November 21,11:00 am, at the Windsor First United Methodist Church, 503 Walnut, Windsor, CO, with interment at the Lakeview Cemetery to follow.  Afterwards, a reception will be held at FUMC.

Contributions may be made to First UMC, where Sandy was more than a fifty-year member, or to Weld RE-4/Windsor FFA chapter (Lee memorial), as agriculture was a real passion of hers.
