Louis “Gary” Trice passed away peacefully in his home on November 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving daughters. He was born on September 24, 1931, in Gilbertown, Alabama.
Gary lived a long and full life marked by hard work, entrepreneurship, and quiet generosity. Over the course of his career in business and property ownership, he not only built successful ventures but also invested deeply in the people around him. He was known for giving discreetly and directly—helping employees further their education, supporting tenants through difficult times, and sharing generously with neighbors and friends he met along the way. Some of his happiest moments were spent traveling for both business and pleasure with his wife and family, creating memories that his loved ones will always cherish.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Alice Tinkham Trice. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Allison Kaffka (Miro Kaffka) and Cindy Trice (James White); his granddaughter, Hana Kaffka; his brother, Larry Trice (Elizabeth); and many nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered for his steadfast love for his family, his generous spirit, and the many lives he quietly lifted up along the way.
