Diana Kim (Ledford) Richards, 68, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed peacefully at home on December 3, 2025, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 14, 1957, in Flint, Michigan, and was a longtime resident of the Tri-Cities area.
Kim was the daughter of the late Jack and Doris Ledford of Erwin, Tennessee, and the loving wife of Dennis Anthony, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Sakellar of Bluff City, TN; her son, Andy Richards (Carla) of Piney Flats, TN; and her cherished grandchildren: Taylor Sakellar, Brooklynn Bowman, Creola Sakellar, Nicholas Sakellar, Chloe (Christian) Smith, Kendra Richards, and Callie Richards. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy: Harper Bowman, Myla Sakellar, and Miles Gentry.
Kim leaves behind her special sister, Toni Curtis, as well as her extended bonus family: Mike (Trish) Anthony of Indiana and Wesley (Ashley) Anthony of Connecticut, whom she loved as her own, along with their children: Laine, Hadley, Payton, Jaxon, and Quinn Anthony. and blended family David Richards, Brandon Richards (Jane, Jewel and Eden) and Dusty Richards (Camdyn, Kenna and Caroline).
For more than 25 years, Kim proudly served the Tri-Cities community as a mortgage loan originator, building lasting relationships and helping countless families achieve homeownership. Outside of work, she and Dennis treasured their time traveling, relaxing on their sailboat, enjoying their loyal pups Daisy and Dexter, and being surrounded by the people they loved most.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 7, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a service to follow at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Randy Hensley. Burial will take place on Monday, December 8, at 10:00 a.m., at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Kim will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the deep love she carried for her family. Her presence will be missed beyond measure.
