Jaime Chavez, 68, of Parma, passed away on November 27th in Boise, Idaho, surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised in a close-knit family, Jaimie grew into a man known for his steady hands, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to the people he cared about.
Jaime worked for many years as a mechanic at Simplot, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and his willingness to take on any job that needed doing. He was the kind of man who rarely sat still – always working, always fixing, always making sure things were done right. His coworkers and friends knew they could rely on him for help, advice, or simply a good laugh during a long day.
Outside of work, Jaime found his greatest peace in his garden. With a true expert’s touch, he could grow anything he put into the soil. His garden became a reflection of who he was – patient, attentive, and full of quiet pride. Those who knew him often left his home with fresh vegetables, plants, or gardening tips he was always eager to share.
Family was at the center of Jaime’s life. He is survived by his siblings: Teodoro, Robert, Lupe, Julia, and Ray Chavez; and by his children: Jessica, Noah, Veronica, and Ana, who will forever remember his strength, humor, and warmth. His teachings, his stories, and his presence will continue to guide them.
Jaime was preceded in death by his parents, Teodoro and Basilica Chavez; and his siblings: Chavila, Raul, and Pete, whose memories he carried with him throughout his life.
Jamie will be remembered for the love he gave freely, the work he took pride in, and the beautiful garden he left behind – one that will continue to bloom in the hearts of those who knew him.
A viewing will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 1-3:00 pm, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell, with a funeral service to begin at 3:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a man whose kindness and hard work touched so many.
