Augustin DeValle, born in Alamo, Texas, on April 17, 1944, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on December 4, 2025. He met the love of his life, Adelmira Flores, and got married in Eagle Pass, Texas, on December 9, 1972.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and is survived by his wife, Adelmira Flores DeValle; his daughter, Juanita DeValle Munoz (Marty); his son, Augustin DeValle, Jr.; Romeo Rivera, Sr.; his two grandchildren, Devina Rivera Garcia and Romeo Rivera, Jr. (Juanita); and his six great-grandchildren: Saya Rivera, Skylar Garcia, Silas Garcia, Bryan Garcia, Diego Garcia, and Rozalyna Rivera.
He worked hard all his years, and for every moment of work, he loved truck driving and strived to be the best. He retired from Grasmick Produce in 2008.
When he wasn’t at work, he’d come home to work on the house and lawn and took pride in making everything at home look beautiful and feel peaceful. He made great memories with his family, and not a moment went by without him listening to his favorite Tejano music. He loved watching Johnny Canales on the TV set and listening to his 8-tracks, his records, and his mountains of cassette tapes he recorded on Tejano radio stations from around the valley. When the right song came on, he would bring out his bass guitar.
He always had a Coors Banquet in hand and watched the world from his chair in his lawn. He lived a long and fulfilling 81 years of life. His legacy will live on. He will always be remembered and never forgotten.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 5-8:00 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell, with a rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 1122 W. Linden Street in Caldwell, with a graveside service to immediately follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery. Services are under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. (208) 459-0833
