Robert Arthur Leibold, Jr, of Ludlow, MA passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025. He was born in Danbury CT. on June 12, 1948. He grew up in Newtown, CT and graduated from Newtown High School in 1966 and Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT with a Bachelor's Degree.
Robert managed many Agway stores in MA. He worked numerous years in the Automotive Parts Industry. Before moving to Ludlow in 2006, he lived in Three Rivers, MA for thirty years.
Robert was a quiet, gentle man except when rooting for his favorite teams: Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves and New York Giants. Bob was an avid reader especially of History. He was a great admirer of John Wayne and knew his movies' dialog verbatim. Anyone who knew Bob will sadly miss him.
Robert leaves his wife, Melanie (Ruscoe) of 54 years, a son, Sean of CT along with two grandchildren, Tyler and Abigail also of CT. A brother, William (Pamela) of Newtown and a sister, Karen (Gerry) Heyde of New Milford and a niece, Dianne Ferris of MA. Bob was predeceased by Robert A. Leibold Sr. in 1996.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home from 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM followed by a time of sharing memories at 3:30 PM. A graveside service will take place in April at Newtown Village Cemetery in Newtown, CT. Please check www.beersandstory.com for updated information on the burial.
