Beverly Deane (Coon) Weinmaster, 75, passed away on December 9th, 2025 in Greeley Colorado.
Bev was born on June 3rd, 1950 an only child to Dean and Dorothy (Loosvelt) Coon. As a young girl, she loved flying with her dad and uncle in their Piper Cub Planes. She grew up in Gordon, Nebraska and graduated from Gordon High School. She was an active participant of high school rodeo with her beloved horse Dutch.
After High School, she began work at Gordon Hospital as a Nurse Aid and then transferred to Bennett County Hospital. She worked at the General Store in Martin for many years and then became the Deputy Auditor at the court house. After that, she went to work at the ranch full time with Mark.
She married Mark Weinmaster on November 30th, 1985 and moved to the ranch south of Martin. She continued her love of animals in helping Mark and the family with the feedlot, farming and ranching. They spent their days raising cattle, horses and their family.
In 1998, Mark and Bev made their home in Colorado, to manage a quarter horse farm and later changed to manage the Conoco Station in Mead before joining Lextron Animal Health. She dedicated many years of work there and eventually retired from the company. Together, Mark and Bev also founded Wild Horse Welding Company, a venture they were proud to build side by side from the ground up.
In their later years, they purchased a camper and spent countless happy days exploring South Dakota, Colorado and beyond, enjoying camping and four-wheeling trips with family and friends. Bev had a deep love for the outdoors. She was an avid gardener who created a beautiful yard year after year.
Bev also had an enormous heart for animals. She cherished every creature that crossed her path and was especially devoted to her many beloved kitties she cared for over the years.
Bev was a proud lifetime member of the Legion Post 240 Auxiliary.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents; Dean and Dorothy Coon; in-laws, Dave and Jean Weinmaster; and her nephew, Kiel Cook.
Bev is survived by her husband, Mark Weinmaster; her son, Troy (Janelle) Byrne; her daughter, Rhonda (Jeremy) Anderson; and grandchildren: Samuel, Emma and Adam Byrne, Haley and Jace Anderson, Adam Byrd; brother in law, David (Sandi) Weinmaster; sister in laws, Roslyn (Buddy) Bolzer, Nancy (Kenny) Cook; and multiple nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Crow Creek Events Center, 37442 Highway 392, Briggsdale, Colorado on Wednesday, December 17th at 11:00 am. A second Memorial Service will be held in Martin, SD on Saturday, December 20th at The New American Legion on Hwy 18 at 10:00 am.
