Jay Harold “Milkman” Ketron, 81, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 with his family by his side.

He was born in Kingsport, TN to the late Samuel and Polly Ketron. Jay enjoyed going to car shows, watching sports, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a truck driver for many years and worked for several companies in the area. Jay was a loving and caring, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce McMurray. 

Survivors include his daughters, Kim Odom and husband Rod; Karen Ketron –Dulaney and husband Bill; and Joetta Ketron; son, Jay Harold Ketron Jr. (Diane); grandchildren, Summer Williams, Jordan Osborne, Austin Williams, and Tyler Williams; great grandchildren, Lucas, Tessa, and Knoxtyne; along with a host of friends and extended family.  

Per his wishes no formal services will be conducted. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dashea with Amedysis Hospice for her loving care.
