Kernersville – Paul Edward Kindley, 60, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

 

He was born in Forsyth County, NC on November 2, 1965, to Shirley (East) Kindley and the late Manly “Jug” Malcolm Kindley.

 

Paul loved playing all his guitars, especially playing guitar in the band Xerxes for 42 years.  He enjoyed golfing and going to modified races.  He worked for White’s International Trucks as a school bus technician and worked on semi-trucks.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jessica Manning (Lucas); grandchildren, Bexley, Malachi, and Chandler; mother, Shirley (East) Kindley; sister, Penny Luck; brothers, Mike (Karen) and Rick; nieces, Amanda Shore (Jody) and Ashley Baldwin (John); several great nieces and nephews; long-time friend and bandmate, Jeff Smith, and other band members; and friend, Chuck Hennis.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, December 27th at 1:00PM at Kerwin Baptist Church, 4520 Old Hollow Road, Kernersville, NC 27284, with Senior Pastor Daniel Hawtree officiating.
