Henry O. Choquette, 94, was surrounded by his family when he passed away December 25, 2025, reuniting him with the love of his life Yvette, on Christmas night. Henry was born on July 16, 1931 in Manchester CT, son of Aime and Lillian (Provost) Choquette. In 1951 he married Yvette (Houle) and they were married for nearly 71 years prior to her death in 2022. Henry enlisted into the United States Air Force and was stationed in both Texas and Maine. He served active duty during the Korean War as an engine mechanic servicing B36 Bomber planes. Once discharged, Henry and Yvette relocated back to Western Mass to raise their family. Henry worked many years for Cains and finished his career at the Belchertown State School where he was a meat cutter in the storeroom, which supplied all of the kitchens with their daily meat order. Once retired, Henry and his wife traveled the United States & Canada in their RV until finally settling down in Davenport, FL where they lived for 22 years. As a pastime during the winter months, they enjoyed being employed at Walt Disney World in Orlando, where they worked as crowd control at MGM Studios for 13 years. In 2017, Henry & Yvette returned to Granby to be closer to their family. Henry loved to play golf, travel, cheer on his children while playing sports & reading (western books were his favorite). Henry will be deeply missed by his children Wayne “Chuck” Choquette (Christine) of N.Reading, Janice Cook of Wolcott, VT, James Choquette (Cherylnina) of Amherst and Kimberly Kolvek (Dewey) of West Burke, VT. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren whom he adored. Besides his wife and parents, Henry was predeceased by his daughter Linda Miller, his brother Normand Choquette and step brother Harvey Beaudoin. A funeral mass will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Granby on January 8th at 11am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the US Department of Veteran Affairs. Please visit this website for more information: https://www.cdcportal.va.gov/donate_online
