Lorane Jo Trousdale was born to William R. Trousdale and MaryBell (Mamie) Hathaway on 22 Dec 1926 in rural Scurry, Texas and died 27 Dec 2025 in Windsor, CO.

She grew up in Stoneham, Colorado, moving to Greeley, CO after 1941.  Jo met and married her high school sweetheart, Donald E. Ruth on December 26, 1945, in Denver, Colorado after he returned from the war.  They moved to Fort Collins where Don attended CSU.  They had Donna Jo and William as they settled into their family life.  In the early 1960’s Don and Jo bought Offen Hardware on 9th Street in Greeley.

Jo enjoyed working at their hardware store, raising a family, making recipes cut out of the paper better than they originally were printed, sewing, and her family – especially the grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Jo (Robert) Sparks of Waco, TX and William (Christine) Ruth of Greeley, CO.  Grandchildren: Julie (Dr. C.J.) Winckler, Jonathan C. (Dana Schrenk) Ruth and Amanda Jo (Ryan) Soer.  Great grandchildren: Liam, Graham & Colin Winckler, Bexley & Asher Ruth, Parker & Lucy Soer.
