James “Jim” Willard Dixon II, 72, retired police officer and beloved father, passed away on December 29, 2025, after a brief illness. Jim was born on April 19, 1953, in Lebanon, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathy and parents James and Betty Dixon.
Jim was a Deputy Sheriff for 30 years primarily in Port St. Lucie, FL
Jim loved and cared for his family more than anything. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball for both his sons from t-ball through their early teenage years. Jim graduated from Florida State University and enjoyed rooting for his alma mater. His love for sports extended beyond just his college team; he was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Miami Dolphins. Jim was a true animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his dog, Bear.
Jim is survived by his children, Angela (Michael), Brian (Heather), and Jason, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and his brother Robert “Bobby” Dixon.
