Kathleen Isaac of Goleta, 1950 - 2025
Kathleen Louise Isaac (Walker) was born on December 4, 1950. Her parents were William and Jane Walker. A lifelong Goleta resident, Kathy attended Goleta Union Elementary School, Goleta Valley Junior High School, and Dos Pueblos High School. She met her future husband, Jim Isaac, at Dos Pueblos by accidentally dropping her school books right in front of him. Kathy and Jim were married for 53 years. Early in their marriage, they loved backpacking. On one trip, Kathy packed from Sequoia National Park in the western Sierra’s, across the mountains, over Mount Whitney to Whitney Portal in the eastern Sierra’s. Kathy loved sewing and made and altered many of her own clothes. Over the years she also made a beautiful collection of aloha shirts for Jim. Kathy loved to go on road trips up the coast of California along Highway 1 especially with her beautiful little Springer Spaniel named Samantha. Kathy and “Sammy” were inseparable. Most of all, Kathy and Jim loved to hang out on their back patio, watch the view of the trees and birds, and talk about everything and nothing.
Kathy was predeceased by her father, William, her mother Jane, her brother David, and her best friend ever, Diane Honiker. She is survived by her husband, Jim, her brother Sean, and his wife Laura. We all love you, Kathy!
In accordance with her wishes, Kathy’s ashes will be cast into the sea.
