December 12, 1925 – December 30, 2025. With her family lovingly gathered around her, Geraldine Judd Boerup, age 100, passed away peacefully in Tucson, Arizona. Born on December 12, 1925, in Kanab, Utah, to John Alvin and Harriet Robinson Judd, Geraldine enjoyed a joyful childhood in the close-knit community she cherished. She attended Kanab High School before graduating from Dixie High School in St. George, Utah, Class of 1944. In 1947, she was crowned the first Centennial Queen of Kane County, Utah—a reflection of her grace and spirit. After graduating from Brigham Young University in 1952, Geraldine answered a 2-year call to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the beautiful Hawaiian Islands. Her faith remained central throughout her life, guiding her service in many church auxiliaries and inspiring decades of music ministry as a devoted organist. In 1955, while teaching at a small grade school in Perris, California, Geraldine met the love of her life, Donald Eugene Boerup, at their local church branch. They married soon after, raising six children together and sharing 63 years of marriage before Donald’s passing. Geraldine’s life was marked by her dedication to family and her unwavering work ethic. She had a gift for creating beauty—whether through music, gardening, sewing, or the meals she lovingly prepared. She was an avid reader, compassionate listener, and tireless caregiver. She devoted herself to those she loved, including caring tenderly for her mother or husband until their passing. She is survived by her brother, Oscar Judd (Fredonia, AZ-age 98), 6 children and their spouses: Kevin (Cathy) Boerup, DaNell Boerup, MaryLynn Olson (Adam Hepworth), Cynthia Squires (Greg), Janeen (John) Julander, and Leon (Staci) Boerup; along with 25 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, each touched by her love and example. Geraldine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald and many other ancestry. Her legacy of faith, service, and quiet generosity will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. The Viewing will be held 9:30 am with a funeral following at 11:00 am Saturday, January 10th, 2026 at the Rincon LDS Stake Center 1655 S Melpomene Way, Tucson, AZ 85748.
