Nancy Heller of Longmont, Colorado, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at her home in Longmont. She was 79-years old.
Nancy was born September 2, 1946, in Superior, Nebraska. She was the second of six children born to Ted and Maxine Diehl. She moved with her family to Longmont in 1955, where she graduated from Longmont High School in 1965.
On January 8, 1971, Nancy married Ken Heller in Longmont. Together, they raised four sons. She was a homemaker before working in customer service for several years.
Nancy loved gardening, word puzzles, movies, and game shows. She was a talented crocheter and made many beautiful blankets that she shared with her family. Nancy also loved wildlife, especially hummingbirds, and she fondly remembered once raising an orphaned raccoon on her family’s farm. She was a kind and quiet woman, with a deep love for her family and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Matthew; her parents; and three siblings, Jody, Diane, and Mike.
She is survived by three sons, Vern Meadows and his wife Audrey of Keensburg, Larry Meadows and his wife Debra of Longmont, and Stacey Heller and his wife Rhonda of Firestone; two siblings, Sharon Wooldridge and her husband Roy of Broomfield and Alan Diehl of Elizabeth; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Alyssa, Danielle, Ted, Brady, Breanna, and AJ; and two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Elias.
Services will be held on Friday, January 9, at 10:00 am at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Services.
