Irene passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on December 29, 2025, after a 5-year battle with dementia.

She was lovingly cared for in her home during that time by her son and daughter.

Irene was born on September 23, 1930, only child to Theresa and Julius Munkacsy in Carteret, New Jersey. She was a professional actress and singer trained at Aleviene Academy of NYC. She starred in several productions in New York. Later in her life she was very involved with local theatres in Brevard County first and foremost Indian River Players where many of her wonderful friends were made. She was an accomplished seamstress and designed many costumes for the stage productions. She was a band mother for Palm Bay High school from 1975 to 1979 and designed the flag corps costumes. She did local commercials for Fat Boys, Al Booth and Appliance Direct acting as her character Hannah Peppercorn who used to chase people in the stores with an umbrella.

She is preceded by the passing of her husband Richard Louis Fejes in 1999 who she married in 1958. She is survived by her loving and proud children Glenn Richard Fejes and Diane Irene Fejes.

She had a huge love for cats and left behind her cat Tigger (we call her Kitty).

Irene enjoyed making Hungarian foods, going to the beach, going out to eat dinner.

She will be missed by all who loved her kind, gentle and giving ways.
