Nancy Carolyn Hunter, born on June 21, 1946, in Russell, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, in Fort Myers, Florida. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends who were fortunate to have known such a remarkable woman. Carolyn was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherished by her children: Kenny Hunter, Donald Hunter, Douglas Hunter, Jr., Sherry Hunter, Tammy Hunter, and Kristi Hunter. She leaves behind a loving legacy, including many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a loving sister and  a host of extended family members who will remember her kindness and generosity. Throughout her life, Carolyn embraced her role as a loving wife and a nurturing mother, always prioritizing the needs of her family. Her personality shone through her unwavering loyalty and the warmth she extended to all. Carolyn had a deep passion for travel and delighted in exploring the world with her loved ones, creating precious memories that will last a lifetime. Her compassion knew no bounds as she dedicated herself to helping her children and others in any way she could. As we honor the life of Nancy Carolyn Hunter, we celebrate her spirit of kindness and her enduring love for family. She will forever be remembered for her gentle heart and the profound impact she made in the lives of those she met. Carolyn's life will be celebrated on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Akin-Davis Funeral Home starting with a visitation at 12 noon until 1 pm when the message will be heard, then the procession will go to Fort Denaud Cemetery to lay Carolyn in her final resting place next to her husband, Douglas, and her daughter Cindy.
