Marianne Dorey, age 96, passed away December 31, 2025, in Tucson, AZ. She was born in Berlin, Germany, to parents, Wilhelm and Elli Judernatz. After WWII she met and married her husband, Lester Dorey, and returned with him to America.

As a mom and homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, decorating, and taking care of her family; as a wife, she loved traveling, skiing, hiking, bowling, and attending the opera with her husband; and as a creative soul her outlets included gardening, knitting, and singing in the church choir, along with using her expertise in the German language to teach students from elementary age through AP classes, translate old documents, tutor, and interpret in court when needed.

She had a heart to serve and dedication to excellence in every pursuit. With unshakeable faith and courage, she embraced and enjoyed the life she was given.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lester, son Mark, siblings Manfred and Brigitte, and parents. She is survived by her daughters Karla and Monique (Bob), grandchildren Renee, Joshua, and Britta, and great-grandchild Emma. We will miss her ready smile, prayers, and generous spirit.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, followed by a graveside ceremony at 3:00 p.m. at East Lawn Cemetery in Tucson, AZ.
