It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt grief that we announce the tragic and sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin, Eli Symons Cannon, on January 1, 2026. Born in Boulder, Colorado, on March 10, 2013, Eli will be remembered for his exceptional artistic talent, adventurous spirit, keen sense of humor, and kind, gentle nature, all of which will be deeply and enduringly missed. Eli was raised in Longmont, Colorado, where he attended Burlington Elementary School and was a seventh-grade student at Sunset Middle School. He held many aspirations, including mastering the guitar, continuing his involvement in theater, pursuing a career in forensic science, and traveling the world—dreams that were tragically cut short. He is survived by his mother, Ashleigh Cannon; his brother, Cameron Cannon; his father, Dalton Symons; his grandmothers, Elizabeth Cannon and Carolyn Symons; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, and last but not least, his beloved dog and companion, Dexter.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Community Lutheran Church on Tuesday January 20th, 11:00 am, 2026, located at 9775 Ute Highway, Longmont, Colorado 80504. 

Private family burial will be held for Eli.

 The family asks that you meet them back at the church at 2:00 pm for a reception.
