Sylvia S. Trujillo, age 76, passed away on January 2, 2026, in Greeley, Colorado, after a three-year journey of weekly dialysis treatments. Up until the end, Sylvia maintained her fighting yet gentle spirit, along with a deep appreciation, gratitude, and love for her family and friends. She was born on May 4, 1949, to Cleofus (Garcia) and Henry Juarez in Longmont, Colorado, where she was raised and lived most of her life. Sylvia graduated from Longmont High School in 1967. She later married Adam Trujillo on February 1, 1969, and together they raised three children, Adam, Alison, and Kevin. She dedicated 25 years of service to Valleylab, where she was known for her reliability and strong work ethic. Sylvia enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved reading and working on word-find puzzles, spending meaningful time making TikTok videos with her granddaughter, Abby, and watching the Denver Broncos, a team she faithfully cheered for. Her warmth, love for family, and gentle presence will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children: Adam Trujillo and his wife, Corrina, of Thornton, Colorado; Kevin Trujillo of Evans, Colorado; and Alison Trujillo-Paiz and her husband, Louie, of Evans, Colorado. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Jill Pedersen of Estes Park, Colorado. Sylvia was a devoted and cherished grandmother to Abigail Trujillo and Alisa Perkins of Evans, Colorado. Sylvia is also survived by her siblings: Diana (Juarez) Heredia, Alice Juarez-Garcia, and Pat Juarez, all of Longmont, Colorado; and David Juarez and his wife, Stephanie, of Timnath, Colorado. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Cleofus Juarez, and her nephews, Danny Juarez and Joe Garcia, as well as her great-nephew, Anthony Juarez. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 24, 2026, at the American Legion Post 32, 315 S. Bowen Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
