Edward Arvonio Jr., 74, of Cocoa, Florida, passed away suddenly on December 18, 2025, at Cape Canaveral Hospital.
Ed was born in Lakehurst, New Jersey, to Edward Arvonio Sr. and Anna Hanh Nicholas. In the late 1960’s he relocated to Brevard County, Florida, where he built his life and remained a longtime resident.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Ed applied himself in school and earned his Master Electrician certification. He spent most of his working life as an electrician, a career that reflected his strong attention to detail skill set.
In his younger years, Ed enjoyed water skiing, embracing an active lifestyle. Later in life, he discovered a passion for drag racing, a pursuit that brought him great joy and excitement. He remained involved in racing well into retirement, truly enjoying the sport and the community around it.
At the age of 71, Ed set out to leave behind a legacy by building a cabin in North Carolina, a dream he planned to enjoy in retirement with his wife. He proudly completed this dream in April 2023. The property was lovingly named Pappyville in his honor for all the hard work he put into building it.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Arvonio; his daughter, Amy Cryderman; his son-in-law, Chad Cryderman; and his cherished grandchildren, Lexis Caswell, Gavin Caswell, and Brynslee Cryderman.
He was a devoted husband, father, and Pappy, and his presence is deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
