Virginia May Allen
January 15th, 1925 - June 16th, 2015
Virginia M. Allen, 90, of Greeley, CO passed away June 16, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 15, 1925 in Bridgeport, NE to Ralph and Gladys (Payne) Giggy. She was the oldest of five children. On August 24, 1946 she married Wayne L. Allen in Scottsbluff, NE in a double wedding with Arlene (Kohler) and Jerry Greenwood. Virginia worked as a beautician until the birth of her first child. She also worked at S&H Green Stamp Store. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and played in a harmonica band. She was a member of Sherwood Park Baptist Church. Virginia is survived by her son, Ron (Linda) Allen of Bozeman, MT; daughter, Debbie (Lanny) Dyer of Greeley; daughter-in-law, Sharon Allen of Grants Pass, OR; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers, Darrel Giggy and Jim (Nancy) Giggy; sister, Pat Dick; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Wayne; son, David Allen; parents; and brother, Don Giggy. Services include viewing 5-7 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2015 and funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 both at Adamson Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions maybe made to "Parkinson’s Association” or "Rocky Mountain Cancer Society” in care of Adamson Funeral & cremation Services, 2000 47th avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
