Lawrence Paul North passed away at his home with his daughter, Stephanie, and her fiancé, Ken, at his side on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Lawrence "Larry" was born on November 18, 1961, to Anne and Carl Sr. North in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He was the fourth of eight children. The family moved to Idaho in 1981, and in 1984, he moved to Idaho as well. From there, he met and married (divorced) Marie Garreton and they had four daughters - his prized and greatest accomplishments he would say. He had many other proud accomplishments: journeyman electrician, proficient auto mechanic, reserve police officer, certified in metal working industry, and his five grandchildren - his gems he adored.

In his later years, he struggled with back injuries and various health issues, but he never stopped loving time with his family, fishing, shooting his guns, standing for his 2nd amendment rights, and teaching his daughters about God and life. We must mention his engine - the engine moved wherever he moved!

Most notable - his love and relationship with Jesus. It was real, sincere, and set an example for his family which we will carry on.

He is survived by his four daughters: Stephanie North (Ken - fiance), Monique Lafferty (Dale – spouse, and Shaliena - granddaughter), Felicia Ellison (Boe – spouse, and grandchildren Braxton, James, and Elizabeth), and Corina Helmick (Chase - spouse, and grandson Chase (CW)); his siblings: Dean North, Linda Kastner, Elaine Soltis, Carl North, David North, John North, and Mark North; 17 nieces and nephews; and a few lifelong friends.

Please read some of his favorite Bible verses that have blessed him and us: Psalms 51: 7-12; Psalms 50:15; Psalms 31: 5; Ephesians 2: 6-9. Arrangements are under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. (208) 459-0833
