She owned and operated Kid’s World Day Care in Walworth, Wisconsin, for 25 years, and most recently worked as a cook for Rock Walworth Head Start and Vintage on the Ponds. Karen loved cooking and baking, entering many of her special treats at the Walworth County Fair, where she was awarded Champion for her delicious cheesecake.
Karen enjoyed volunteering in the community and performed a variety of duties in her local church for many years. Karen was also involved in local 4-H clubs while her children were growing up and most recently was a volunteer usher at the Belfry Music Theatre. She loved Elvis and country music.

Nitardy Funeral Homes - Whitewater
We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community since 1932, when our founder Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. We feel very fortunate to continue serving the community three generations later. In 2007, we constructed our first funeral home in Whitewater. Here, our mission is the same as it has been for over 90 years: help walk our community through times of grief and provide beautiful and meaningful services to every family that walks through our doors. We are proud that Whitewater families trust us to take care of their loved ones....
