Kernersville, NC – Mrs. Debbie Macioce, 74, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 18, 1951, to the late Edsel and Ruth Richardson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry and their son Rob Macioce.
She is survived by her brother, Rick Richardson (Karen), daughter Carol Macioce (David), sisters-in-law Linda Heisserman (Ray), Loraine Craig (Michael), LuAnn Durkin (Brian), Lisa Davis, nieces and nephews Stephanie Richardson, Laura Russell (Kevin) and son Ward, Jeff Heisserman (Jenny) and daughter Natalie and son Andrew, Brian Craig (Jessica) and son Jordan, Greg Durkin, Christopher Craig, Marissa Craig (Kyle), daughter-in-law Tanese Macioce and three grandchildren Marla, Morris and Merritt Macioce.
Special thanks to her friends Lana and Holden Robinson and the team at Piedmont Dialysis Center.
Debbie received her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She was a bookkeeper and always loved numbers! Debbie enjoyed being the pianist for many years at Main Street Baptist Church. She was a two-time leukemia (AML) survivor with a bone marrow transplant in 1994, kidney cancer survivor and most recently a dialysis patient for the last few years. No complaints, only positivity and perseverance. Debbie loved sweet tea, reading, word games and her grandkids.
A service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services, 213 West Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC 27284 and officiated by Pastor Gene Lancour of Main Street Baptist Church.
