Lamont Moore passed away on January 28th, 2026, surrounded by the love he so generously gave.

For 53 years, Lamont shared his life with his beloved wife, Peggy. Their marriage was a love built on partnership, laughter, and a devotion that never wavered.

He was very proud of his two sons, Jim and Ryan, who grew into the outstanding men he always knew they would be. He welcomed their wives, Jen and Cara, into his heart as daughters. But his greatest joy came from his four grandchildren. Whether fishing together or simply enjoying good times with family, Lamont loved every moment with them.

To all his friends: you meant the world to him. Every shared experience, every laugh, every moment of friendship, he appreciated it all. He once wrote that he'd live life "as long as a few of you remember me." But anyone who knew Lamont knows that forgetting him would be impossible.

Lamont is survived by his wife Peggy (Beech), sons Jim (Jen) and Ryan (Cara); grandchildren Jake, Mason, Bo, and Bria; sister Vivian Light (Bruce); brother Ray; many beloved nieces and nephews; and countless friends and family members whose lives he touched in many ways.

Lamont wouldn't want tears. He would want celebration (and a strong drink). That's how he lived, and that's the greatest tribute we can offer him.
