Glenda Shull Stewart, 80, of Kernersville passed away on January 28, 2026 at her home surrounded by family.  Born in Forsyth County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Carl C. and Imogene H. Shull and wife of the late Robert "Pete" L. Stewart.

 

Glenda is survived by her children, Robert L. Stewart, Jr. (Jeana) of Waxhaw, NC and Karla J. Freeman (Bruce) of Hayden, ID; her grandchildren, Ryan L. Stewart (Kayla) of Charlotte, NC, Robert L. Stewart of Waxhaw, NC, Kelsey Davis (Betty) of Kernersville, NC; her twin sister, Brenda S. Gass and her brother, Harold G. Shull, both of Kernersville, NC; her special nephew, Jeffrey Gass (Melanie) of Concord, NC; her special great-nephew, Samuel Gass of Concord, NC; and her goddaughter, Angela Nation of Salem VA.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobbie J. Shull and Jimmie L. Shull.

 

The family received friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain St., Kernersville NC 27284 on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 9:30AM  -  10:00AM.  Funeral services were held at 10:00AM with Pastor Don Martin officiating. A private interment was held at a later date. 

 

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Trellis Supportive Care of Winston-Salem, NC.
