Peggy Joy Morrison, 75, of St. Petersburg passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on February 15th, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Dan, their three wonderful sons, Kirk, Scott and Bert along with their wives Delaney, Miki and Kristen.  She was an amazing Mamaw to six grandchildren, Alexis, Luke, Landon, Cooper, Barry, Danni and recently became a great grandma to her great grandson, Baylor.  Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Vera Graves and brother Rick Graves.  Peggy will be dearly missed by her siblings, Tom, Rena and Lynn as well as many extended family and friends.

Peggy was born and raised in St Petersburg, FL and attended St. Pete High School. After graduation she worked at Publix as a head cashier for a few years where she met the love of her life, Dan. Peggy went on to advance her career and became a sales representative for RJR Nabisco for many years until Dan brought on a new adventure of being owners of J&R Bicycles. Peggy and Dan were no strangers to this industry as their boys were avid BMX racers. Over the years, the business grew and became a household name in the BMX industry. “Momma Peggy” as she was known by many BMX racers, would be the driver behind the wheel of the J&R truck and trailer as they traveled around the country to vend at different state and national events. She was the smile behind the counter and one of the first to greet you. While building her family’s BMX business, she also moonlighted as a poker dealer at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa for several years. Peggy was one of the first female Track Directors, operating the St. Petersburg BMX Track during the 90’s.  Her contributions to the sport were recognized with her induction into the Florida BMX Hall of Fame alongside her Husband Dan in 2024.

Peggy always made it a priority to attend her grandchildren’s sporting events and cheer them on. She was always one of the first spectators there to guarantee the best spot. From soccer events to BMX races and football games, Mamaw was there to support her grandkids as their #1 fan. Peggy will be remembered for her infectious smile, giggly laugh, affectionate hugs and her love for spending time with family and friends. Peggy made sure her family spent time together by organizing annual vacations to the mountains or away on a cruise.  Time spent together was her priority, even if it was just for a round or two of her favorite card game, dirty rat.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you donate to the Alice Bixler Scholarship Fund which helps BMXers cover the cost of higher education or trade school.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 4th in Tarpon Springs for family and close friends.  RSVP for details.
