Charles S. Lassen

July 19, 1941 - March 4, 2026

With his wife by his side, Charles “Chuck” Lassen, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026. Charles was born in Racine, WI, son of Norman and Adele Lassen.

Chuck graduated from Marquette University with a degree in electrical engineering. A gifted mathematician and all-around student, he earned his Professional Engineer (PE) license and enjoyed a long career in his chosen profession. He married Ann, the love of his life in 1964, and together, they raised two children, Christa (spouse: Ken) and Erik (spouse: Dawn).

He had a lifelong interest in science and science fiction. His childhood fascination with space exploration and aviation remained with him for his entire life. He earned his private pilot’s license and enjoyed many years flying small aircraft for the pure joy of it. His passion was reflected in his favorite hobby, scale modeling, through which he crafted countless hyper-detailed aircraft, spacecraft, and automobiles.

Chuck’s other great passions were music, especially traditional jazz of the 1940s-1960s, and football. He was never happier than when listening to his “hi-fi,” seeing a live performance, or cheering on his beloved Green Bay Packers.

Chuck will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of 61 years, his two children and their spouses, grandson (Nolan), and sister (Marian). Private family services will be held. Friends and family who would like to memorialize Chuck are asked to make a donation to Wings Over the Rockies (wingsmuseum.org)
