Mary Casey, 84, of Frederick, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on March 8th, 2026.
She was born on February 19th, 1942, to Robert and Emma Coulson in Longmont, Colorado. She went to school locally and graduated from Longmont High School in 1961. Mary married Patrick Casey on November 23, 1963. They had 3 children together. After a few years spent in Oakland, California, they would move back to Frederick, Colorado to settle down into their forever home in 1983. She would choose a career path as a dental assistant and worked locally for 15 years before retiring in 1998. However, she did not slow down after that. Mary would go on to clean houses for many years for friends and many local community members. This was something she loved to do. Ultimately, she would retire from this in 2018.
Mary was also known for the many talents she had, including her amazing, steady artistic hand, her sewing skills, and the incredible, beaded pillows she would create. Above all, she will always be remembered for her strong faith. Her kindness and loving personality will be forever remembered by all who knew her. She was a light to all people who would meet her.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Pat in 2017. She is survived by her 3 children Timothy Casey (Wife Susie), Brian Casey, Katie Casey-McKenzie (Husband Jeff), and her granddaughter she raised, MaKenna (Husband Jacob), as well as her 5 grandchildren: Nichole, Shanley, Brieanne, Alyssa, Shelby, and 7 great-grandchildren.
There will be a Rosary Prayer Service beginning at 10:30am on Tuesday March 17th, 2026. A funeral mass will then follow at 11:00am to celebrate Mary’s life at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 5503 Bella Rosa Pkwy, Frederick. The service will then be brought to a close with a reception in the church hall to share our fond memories of To celebrate her life, we request not to wear all black attire, rather to come wearing a shade of blue to honor her favorite color. Other colors are also welcomed.
In addition to flowers, we, the family, would also appreciate donations to St. Theresas Catholic Church.
