Walter Lee Minter Jr. March 31, 1945 ~ April 15, 2019 Our beloved Father, Walter Lee Minter, Jr., went home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2019 in Denver, CO at the age of 74. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, TX on March 31, 1945 to his parents, Walter Lee Minter, Sr., and Edie Lou Simmons Minter. He was raised surrounded by his Sister Margie Lyle, and Brother Harold Minter, Sr. His brother and sister addressed him as "Bubba", which was his nickname give to Walter Jr., when he was born. He received his formal education in the Denver Public Schools. He then joined the U.S. Army, where he served for three years. Walter had several jobs doing many different things. He loved to socialize with family and friends. He loved cook-outs, playing dominoes and "talking plenty of stuff!" Everyone that knew Walter knew that de didn't play, he meant what he said even if he had to call four or five different names before he got the right one. Walter never sad good-bye, it was always, "see you later, or later." Walter is survived by his mother, Eddie Lou Simmons; his four children; Darren Minter, Jr., Dedrick Boyd, Chanda "Terry" Minter-Jones, and Walter Minter, Jr., 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and may fiends.
