David Lynn Tewalt, age 70, passed away on September 15, 2021 from complications caused by COVID-19. Dave was born in Pocatello, Idaho on January 22, 1951, to David Tewalt and Elaine Buell. He grew up in the Eagle/Meridian area but could often be found with friends in Boise. Dave attended Meridian High School, where he met Connie Hansen. The two graduated in 1969 and were married in 1971. Dave and Connie had four children, Tracy (Dwayne), Todd (Ivy), Josh (Chanel) and Kirk (Allison). Dave and Connie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August of this year. After graduation, Dave went into the Air National Guard. He then worked in the plumbing industry for nearly five decades. From his early career to his ownership of Integrity Plumbing and beyond, Dave made lifelong friends. For the last eight years, Dave worked in sales for Superior Water and Air. Dave was a talented salesman and truly loved interacting with customers. Dave was devout in his faith and was passionate about utilizing his work and businesses to do good for his community. He always could be found brainstorming new ideas and thinking about the next big thing. Dave loved traveling to the Oregon Coast where he made many lasting friends. He also adored his two dogs, and he was an unwavering fan of his favorite sports teams, the Chicago Bears and the Boston Red Sox. Dave instilled in his family a great sense of humor, a deep respect for showing kindness to friends and neighbors, and an abiding love of all things sports, golf and fishing. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, stepparents, and brother Rick Buell. Dave is survived by his wife Connie, their four children, 12 grandchildren, one great grandchild and several stepsiblings. The family will host an open house from 1 – 4 p.m. on October 2, 2021, at the park at 9449 S. Saratov Way in Kuna. All family and friends are invited to stop in during those hours to celebrate Dave’s life and share stories in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends donate to their favorite charity in Dave’s name.

We Entrusted David Tewalt's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
