Norma Lucas, 82 of Marina CA passed away peacefully in hospice care with family at her side. Norma was born in Ramsey, WV. She was a homemaker who loved gardening and spending time with her family. Norma worked for several years at the dry cleaners of the former Ft Ord and the Presidio of Monterey. She was proud of supporting the service members and enjoyed her friendships with some of the more colorful characters she met during her time there. She had a great sense of humor with an infectious smile and contagious laughter. Norma had an unconditional love for her family and was always willing to do whatever she could to help those around her get through the toughest of times. She was truly a blessing to her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all. Norma is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ronald Lucas, a son Ronald Jr. (Francesca), a daughter, Debra Jones (Fred), a sister Anna Hawkes, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Per her wishes a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mission Mortuary opened its doors in 1946 at a location on Munras Avenue in Monterey and moved to our current location on Camino El Estero in 1952. While times certainly have changed, Mission Mortuary has continually adapted to meet the evolving needs of our families....
