Sandra Dianne Diaz - Was born 6/12/1946 in Salinas and raised Monterey County went peacefully to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and best friend, definitely enjoyed life to the fullest. Always enjoying her music, good times (party-girl), dancing, traveling, and outings with her family and friends. One of her favorite things to do was to attend the Monterey Blues Festival at the Monterey Fairgrounds every year. Always a hard worker she was the proud owner of two successful Mexican Restaurants, La Casa Diaz (on Lighthouse Ave). And also Cannery Row Plaza Linda Mexican Restaurant (in the 1970). All who knew her knew that she was a very kind, loving person, who loved helping others. She was (a one of a kind) bright light to this world, and the glue to her family. She is survived by Louis (Tito) Guyot (Deceased) and Michael Hamabata, the loves of her life her children, Douglas Guyot, Dennis Guyot, and daughter Andrea Mobley, her brothers Dean Diaz Jr, and Johnny Casarez, two grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Natasha Guyot and Anthony Mobley, many Aunts, Uncles loving cousins and many life-long good friends. A memorial mass will be held Saturday July 9, 2016 at 9 am at San Carlos Church in Monterey. The burial to follow at 10:30 am at the San Carlos Cemetery. A reception will be held at 12:00 PM at the Bay Café across from Lake El Estero.
