Samantha "Sami" Hathaway

Samantha (Sami) Kathleen Hathaway, 18, of Church Hill, who was born on September 14, 1994 in Colorado Springs, Colorado went home to be with the Lord on Saturday night (July 6, 2013) due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was a graduate of Volunteer High School in 2012 and was currently attending Northeast State College. Samantha Hathaway is survived by her mother, Sandye K. Hathaway (of the home); her father, David B. Hathaway and wife, Julie; a brother, Joshua Hathaway (all of Church Hill, TN); his grandparents, Connie Butcher (Colorado Springs, CO), Danny Butcher and wife, Jennifer Fried (Colorado Springs, CO), Donna Lambert and husband, Jerome (Church Hill, TN), David Hathaway (Mount Carmel, TN), Ken and Pat Cole (Bristol, TN); her aunts, Christine Butcher, Patricia Gilliespie and husband, Mark, Benita Barnes, Janet Chafin and husband, Tim, Jennifer Strorts; uncles, Frank Barnes and Chris Cava; her fiancé, Devin Davis; a special "Cuz" and sister at heart, Sierra Gillespie; special friends, Dylon Cradic and Kaylin (Kat) Hutson along with many cousins. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday (July 10, 2013) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill or friends may also call anytime at the residence of her Auntie Patty, 5013 Carters Valley Road in Church Hill. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday (July 10, 2013) at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Mark Wooten and Joel Wooten officiating. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday (July 11, 2013) at 11 a.m. at Church Hill Memorial Gardens with Dylon Cradic, Devin Davis, Drake Daniels, Kirby Tipton, Paul McCurtain, and Mark Gillespie serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Volunteer Junior ROTC. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession.
