Norma Ruth Price Sampson, 59, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord Friday May 31, 2013 at Indian Path Medical Center. A native of Scott County, and graduate of Gate City High School, she has lived in this area all her life. She attended Christ Church in Lynn Garden. She enjoyed interior and exterior decorating and making homes beautiful; especially through gardening. Norma loved to shop and she very much enjoyed the ocean. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Price Jr. and Ruth Day Price; her son, Noah Falin and her brother, Darwin "Shawn" Price She is survived by her husband, Gary Sampson; one son, Josh Lane and wife Johna and their children, Tess and Jayden Lane; three step children, Sonya Duncan and husband Rodney and their children, Cameryn, Colby and Carter, Holly Fletcher and husband Scott and their children Issac and Jacob, Bryan Sampson and his children, Hannah, Calvin and Karadee; one sister, Chris Wilson and husband Ray; one brother, Dennis Price and wife Charlotte; mother in law, Virginia Casteel and sister in law Deborah Slemp; several nieces and nephews and her best friend, Renda Fay Keith The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Saturday at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Richard Dice and Rev. Gary Atkins officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm Sunday in Holston View Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
