Sandra Renae Matlock, 49, of Stanley Valley Community, went to be with the Lord at her home on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of Stanley Valley. Sandra was a graduate of Volunteer High School in 1986. She loved to spend time with her granddaughter Avery, especially taking her to Dollywood and the beach. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tim Matlock; her grandparents, J.Y. & Eva Matlock and Carter & Annie Jenkins. Survivors are her beloved children, Natosha Matlock Carr & husband Jeremiah; Zachory Matlock and Payton Matlock; her granddaughter, Avery Carr; her grandson, Malcolm Matlock; parents, Wayne & Minnie Jenkins Matlock; her brothers, Jerry Matlock & wife Katie, Tony Matlock & wife Vickie; a special niece, Kayla Matlock; special nephew, Aaron Matlock; along with an additional niece, Keia. A visitation will be held from 5 - 7 pm on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill or friends may also call anytime at the residence of her daughter, 498 Fudges Chapel Road, Surgoinsville. A funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh, officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 am on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Bethel Community Cemetery, Surgoinsville. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to Bethel Community Cemetery, 3774 Stanley Valley Road, Surgoinsville, TN 37873.
