Kingsport - Ollie "Ann" McCureay Sexton, 77 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at her residence following a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and attended Sullivan West High School and later received her GED. She spent most of her life employed in food service at Munal Clinic and Indian Path Medical Center. She graduated from Kingsport School of Practical Nursing. She continued working as a private duty nurse. Ann was then employed by Church Hill and Kingsport Post Offices until she retired. She was the best mom, greatest friend and most awesome nanny this world has ever known. We love you more than you could ever know ……. Teresa and Tim. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Sexton; son, Michael Lee Sexton; daughter, Wanda Faye Sexton; mother, Leota Ellen Tate McCureay; father, Roscoe Mack McCureay; grandmother, Maude Ella Tate; grandfather, William "Bill" Tate; brothers, Ross Daniel McCureay and Walter Howard McCureay; sisters, Ola Leota McCureay and Zelda Nyoka Meade; granddaughter, Brandi Nichole Dunbar; great-grandson, Henley Dunbar. Ollie is survived by her son, Tim Sexton; daughter, Teresa Dollar and husband Gene; sister, Sue Tate; brother-in-law, Darrell Meade; grandson, Travis Ramey; great-granddaughters, Khole Ramey, Hannah Ramey; great grandsons, Parker Ramey and Hayden Dockery; several nieces, nephews, many, many friends and her special pets, Xavier and Chico. Friends may call anytime at the residence of the daughter, Teresa Dollar at 1002 Berta Greer Street, Kingsport, TN. Burial was on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Prospect Church Cemetery in Yuma, VA.
