Lexington--Shirley Flynn, 87, of Lexington, KY, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021, in Hospice Care at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky. Born in Pulaski County, KY, on July 12, 1933, she was the daughter of William Hershel and Gertie Thompson Spaw. She was a 54 year member of Central Baptist Church in Lexington. She was a member of Friendship International for 39 years. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Flynn, whom she married on October 23, 1953. She leaves behind two sons, a daughter, and a daughter-in-law: Douglas of Phoenix, AZ; Philip (Jody) of Versailles, KY; and Katarina Lang of Dewey, AZ. She is survived by six siblings Betty Smith, Ronald Spaw, Eunice Norfleet, Geneva Romines, Sandra Utley, and Judy Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her siblings William Claude Spaw, Millard Spaw, Martha Hughes, Stanley Spaw, Tony Spaw, and Johnny Spaw. Graveside service will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
