Dorothy Rowland Owens, 83, widow of Sewell Owens, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021. She was born in Jackson County, Kentucky to the late Green C. and Jane Combs Rowland on April 8, 1938. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sharon Smith, Lawrenceburg, Carolyn (Alan) Short, Shelbyville, and Jeff Owens, Versailles; step sons, Gene Owens and David Owens; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children Charles Bowman, Michael Bowman, Mark Owens and Bessie Jane Bowman; and step children, Donald Owens, Kenneth Owens,Robert Owens and Otis Owens . Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill with Rev. Scott Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Willis Newsome, Justin Taylor, Charles, Mills, Daniel Buffin, Jeff Owens and Alan Short. Visitation will be Monday, January 3, 2022 from 5-7PM at the funeral home.
