Frankfort – Shirley Gay Sams Gill, 79, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022. She was born in Clark County on June 24, 1942, to the late Willie and Mildred Hopper Sams. She retired from the United States Post Office, Versailles. She was married to William (Bill) Gill for 63 years, who passed away in January of this year. She is survived by her children, Heather (Michael) Gill Washington, Frankfort, William “Will” Gill, Jr, Lexington, Lisa Hensley, Richmond, Sharon (Juan Feliciano) Davis, Winchester, Stephanie (Rob) Gill Harlow, Versailles, and Jeffrey (Laura) Gill, Frankfort, 18 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicky Gill, her 4 siblings, and her parents. Funeral Service will ba 1:00 pm Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill. Burial will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery in Versailles. Serving as casket bearers will be Nick Mullins, Ryan Smith, Michael Washington, Ryland Fugate, Brandon Huguely, and Daniel Reed. Visitation will be Friday April, 15 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home,Rose Hill.
