Charles Buford Welch, 95, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. He was born in Jessamine County on March 10, 1927 to the late John and Pearl Spurlock Welch. He was a Mechanic Supervisor with the City of Lexington and a member of Clover Bottom Baptist Church. Charles was a Veteran of the Army Air Corp, having served just after WWII. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Hudson, and Marisa Crouch, both of Louisville; his son, Charles Buford Welch III, Versailles; his step daughter, Yolanda Davis; his sister, Geraldine Chapman, Harrodsburg; his grandchildren, Kathy, Tomy, Duane, Charles, Rachel, Julie, and Marlene; his great grandchildren, Jasen, Aaron, Ethan, Dillon, Jordan, Jacob, Jaxson, Josel, and Jagger; and his great great grandchildren, Damien, Dominic, Trysten, Brendyn, Marley, Jalen, Haley, Cameron, and Ryder. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill with Rev. Gilbert Sargent officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Chuck Welch, Chris Combs, Davey Land, Charles Buford Welch III, Jim Sandford Jr., and Eileen Welch. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of service on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
