Charles Donald Diamond, husband of 60 years to Shela Wall Diamond, passed away at the age of 80 on Friday, March 10, 2023, at home in Midway, KY. Born in Versailles, KY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marjorie Diamond, brother to the late James Walter Diamond, father to Heather Ashley Diamond Stirgwolt, father-in-law to Ted Stirgwolt, uncle to Kelly, Cheryl, Steven, Cardelia. Mr. Diamond was known by many names such as Chuck, Donnie, Charlie, Chuckles, Dad, Tombstone Diamond, Oscar the Grouch, and the Great Santini. He was a multifaceted artist in woodworking, leather craft, punched tin, gardening, competition shooting, cross stitch and cooking. Birdwatching identifying birds and participating with the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) were favorite past times. His varied career included the Air Force, policeman, flight instructor, teacher, and corporate jet pilot. Charles loved his many pets who were considered family and treated as such. The family would like to share a thank you to a special person Lora McQueen, his nurse at the dialysis center. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Clark Funeral home Rose Hill Ave. On Tuesday March 14 at 11 am followed by a graveside service at the Midway Cemetary.
