Cecil Florian, 82, husband of Brenda Bruin Florian, passed away on March 22, 2023. Mr. Florian was born in Woodford County, Kentucky, on June 28, 1940, to the late William David and Velma Sparks Florian. He was a Truck Driver with McCauley Brothers and was a member of Apostolic House of Prayer. In addition to his wife, Brenda Bruin Florian, he is survived by his daughter, Billie Pearl (George) Hunter of Versailles and Susan Rogers of Corinth; son, Cecil (Channon Garland) Florian Jr; sisters, Wanda Burgess of Versailles, Mary Kincaid of Lawrenceburg, Libby Rogers of Salvisa; brothers, Joseph Florian of Salvisa, Jimmy Florian of Harrodsburg , Bobby Florian of Lexington, Mark Florian of Versailles, Phillip Florian of Frankfort, Lynn Florian of Salvisa, and John Florian of Garrod County; grandchildren, Angel Florian, Brianna Florian, Chelsea Hunter, Shane Hunter, and Chad (Erika) Hunter, Shannon Rowland, Amanda Florian, Douglas Charles Alton, Chelsey Nunn, and Brendan Nunn; and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, William David and Velma Sparks Florian, Cecil was preceded in death by his former wife, Elsie Faye Murphy Florian; sister, Shelby Rogers and his brother, Dallas Florian. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00p, on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, Versailles with Bro. Jackie Saylor officiating. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville. Serving as pallbearers will be George Hunter, Buddy Florian, John Florian, Jimmy Florian, Kevin Florian, and Mark Florian. Visitation will be from 11:00a until the time of service at the funeral home.
