Alma Kate DeVary, 98, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024. The wife of the late Forest DeVary, Kate was born March 14, 1926, to the late Buford and Minnie Belle Rhoton Jobe in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. She loved to quilt and sew, tend to her many flowers, and especially enjoyed cooking meals for her family. Kate’s grandchildren brought so much love and joy to her life, time spent with them was so precious to her. Kate is survived by her sisters, Minnie (Ricky) Jones of Tompkinsville and Jennie Beasley of Tompkinsville; her granddaughters, Amy (Kevin) Moore of Lexington, Jill DeVary of Lexington, and Kali DeVary of Lexington; her great-grandchildren, Bailey, Avyn, Karter, Alla, Ryli, and Keo Brooks; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Lois (Roger) Kanatzar of Versailles. Kate was preceded in death by her son, Carl Thomas DeVary. A Visitation will be held from 6:00p until 9:00p, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill Ave, Versailles. There will be PRIVATE Graveside Service held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort, Kentucky.
