Thomas Vincent Fottenbury, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, May 9, 2024. The husband of Genie Prewitt, Tom was born February 14, 1955, to the late Roger and Melvia (nee Doyle) Fottenbury in Hamersville, Ohio. A member of Church of the Savior, Tom was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for the Woodford County Road Department. He was well loved and befriended by so many. His smile and laughter were contagious. He was an avid UK basketball fan. He often enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, attending farm machinery shows, and on a beautiful day, loved to feel the wind in his face while riding his motorcycle. Above all, Tom loved his family and absolutely adored his great grandbaby. In addition to his loving wife, Genie Prewitt of Versailles, Tom is survived by his son, TJ (Stacie) Fottenbury, Granddaughter Daniele (Landon) Fottenbury, Great-grandson, Nickolas (BooBoo) Fottenbury; all of Marshall, Texas. Brothers and Sisters: Marvin (Kathy)Fottenbury, Eileen Edmonds, Delores Hauserman, Roger Fottenbury, Kenny (Ruth) Fottenbury; all of Ohio. Stepson Anthony (Chassity) Dodson, grandsons Nathan, Matthew, Ethan and Eli, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Fottenbury, and his grandson, Nickolas Fottenbury. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held in his honor from 1:00pm until 4:00pm, on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville, with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Frankfort office of Bluegrass Hospice Care/ Bluegrass Care Navigators.
