A loss of a loved one is always difficult and leads to many decisions you'd rather not make but must. So it was when we lost our firstborn son at the age of 42. There are so many emotions that result which effect those decisions. As a result we changed our minds about some major ones. Rick Elliott was kind and understanding but was also flexible and worked with the family indecisiveness. It resulted in a memorable funeral which many attendees told us was the most profound and lovely they ever attended. Thanks Rick and Adamson.

They answered the phone at 10pm to answer my questions if my dad’s prepaid service was with them. They took care of us and all paperwork matched ours. They were gentle and understanding of our pain of losing a loved one. I would recommend them for services!

We had the best experience during a very difficult time. Teagan and Steve gave us such professional, thoughtful guidance planning my father's service. They were patient with us with all of our questions & requests and continually emphasized they wanted Dad's service to be exactly the way we wanted it to be. Never once did make us feel we were burdening them. And while it wasn't expected, having them there every step of the way, they became part of our 'family' saying good-bye to a very special man. When we needed it most, Vessey Funeral Services took so much pressure off of us and allowed us a rather stress free experience during a stressful time.

What does one do when a loved one leaves no specific wishes for after their passing? We had just lost our father/husband and had to make a quick decision what to do after he passed just hours after entering a hospice facility. The hospice facility handed us a list of options. We quickly researched those options, but still were not sure what to do so we asked for their advice for basic but reputable cremation services. They mentioned Blue Mountain so we took a chance and went with them. The entire experience was as easy as one would hope during such a difficult time. Crystal reached out to start the process and explained how almost everything is handled remotely (email, phone). The only in-person requirement was picking up my father's cremains and his death certificates. Crystal sent us very detailed information in a series of emails. I had not had much sleep in the weeks prior to my father's passing, and processing his death while figuring out next steps was overwhelming. Crystal didn't mind answering questions that were in the emails that I had overlooked (she never made me feel like I was bothering her, which I appreciated). Good communication is very important to me, and I was impressed with Crystal's ongoing communication. She was patient, kind, and very responsive whenever I reached out. There was not one time when I wished things could have be easier. Crystal was on top of everything. The pricing was toward the lower end of the options we looked at. I often hear "you get what you pay for" so I was a little worried about that, but Blue Mountain delivered above expectations. They gave us a veteran discount since my father served in the army, which was a nice, unexpected surprise. They also posted the obituary and photo we provided to their website. It showed up online in searches within a day, which has made closing out some of his estate easier (companies have asked us if there is an obituary online and then searched to confirm before closing his accounts - eliminating the need to send a death certificate). Two weeks after my father's passing, we received a handwritten condolences card from Crystal and a text from Julie checking in and offering resources to help loved ones after someone passes away. For a service that is primarily handled remotely, I felt like Blue Mountain cared through the entire process. This is one type of service I hope not to have to use very often, but if the need arises again, I will not hesitate to use Blue Mountain.
